This painting is part of the Cocktails and Jazz series and reminds me of the nightlife of New York. It is acrylic on canvas with bold strokes of watercolor crayon for accent. This is a fun and expressive way to paint.
This easy to wear bezel-set and pave-set diamond ring was a recycle/restyle project. My client inherited a ring that had two of the diamonds and some smaller diamonds, so that meant I needed to supply just one to match, and a few more small diamonds. I gave her credit for her gold and we made this gorgeous platinum ring for her. It has a squared-off back for extra comfort....
This very clean design has a perfect shape for adding stackers. There are no prongs to catch and is easy to wear…perfect for an active lifestyle.

My passion is working with people, and finding their true colors and creating jewelry and art that defines their personality.Karen Bandy has been involved in art since her Portland, Oregon childhood. She drew a lot and strung love beads in the 60’s and aggravated her mother playing in the wax of burning candles, fashioning miniature sculptures. In high school she was drawn to jewelry making where she could play big-girl style with wax model carving and lost wax casting.
