Birds have strong energy, yet they are a calming presence in our lives. Pink and orange are colors associated with energy, but are toned down by line, form, and visual formatting. The backgrounds are vibrant color-scapes to juxtapose with the birds, matching their energy and vibrancy.

This painting is of a black-capped chickadee and a LBB, or sparrow. Sparrows are very abundant around here in Central Oregon, yet most of the chickadees are Mountain chickadees.
